IF YOU MISS COURT, AND YOU’RE OUT ON BAIL

If you have posted bail with a bonding company, and you miss court, a warrant will most likely be issued for your arrest. When this happens, the bonding company has 90 days to find you, reinstate your bail, or pay the amount of the bond that you posted.

If you refuse to work directly with your bonding company, the agency will contact a “Bounty Hunter”, or “Fugitive Recovery Agent”. These agents are NOT RESTRICTED to the same laws that govern Law Enforcement Agencies. These agents may enter dwellings without warrants, and use other investigative tools that are otherwise not permitted. This is because you have signed documents waiving certain rights.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

You should immediately contact OUR AGENCY if you have missed court, while out on bail with a Minnesota Bail Bond Company. MOST OF THE TIME, YOU WILL NOT SIT IN JAIL. If you turn yourself into OUR AGENCY, we will make contact with your bonding company, and in most cases, your bail bond will be reinstated. IF YOU RUN, or ignore the bail company, you will more than likely sit in jail, and no bonding companies will work with you, based on your appearance record.
